Our Made To Measure tailoring process
1st Consultation
Styling and 1st fitting
This is when we first meet and get to sit down with you either at our showroom in Surry Hills or in the comfort of your home lounge.
In our first consultation we get to know you as a person and about your lifestyle. We discuss your requirements and preferences, including style, fabrics, colours and any specific design details you may like.
Depending on the occasion and your personal preference, you will be able to choose from our vast selection of fine Italian and English fabrics ranging from wool, cotton, linen, mohair, silk, cashmere and various blends. Massimo shows you fabric samples and guides you through the right cloth based on your specific needs.
Once a fabric has been chosen we get to the style and design details.
You can choose between single-breasted or double-breasted, the number of buttons, lapel styles, pockets, vents, lining and many other design elements.
Massimo provides you with recommendations according to your body type and lifestyle requirements.
Thereafter we get to establish the fit of your garment.
Massimo takes all relevant measurements and assesses your body shape meticulously leaving nothing behind.
Garment Production
Once all measurements have been taken these are communicated to our workshop where your pattern is uniquely created and fabric is cut accordingly by our skilled pattern maker using cutting edge laser technology leaving no room for error.
Thereafter our team of talented tailors works collaboratively to craft each part of your garment. Our head tailor supervises every single step of the production cycle ensuring flawless execution to create a one of a kind tailor made garment. The whole production takes 5-6 weeks depending on the time of year and on how busy our workshop is. We also offer express production for clients who are time conscious and require a garment ready in as fast as one week time.
2nd Fitting
Once your garment is completed this gets shipped to our showroom in Surry Hills. At this point we contact you to organise a time for the 2nd fitting. This is when you get to try your finished tailor made garment for the first time.
Depending on each case scenario there will be some minor alterations needed to improve the shape of the garment and optimise the fit.
These alterations are carried out locally by our trusted tailor with your garment being ready within a couple of days.
Final fitting and delivery
Once your garment has been altered, we carry out a 3rd and final fitting ensuring the fit of your garment is immaculate. If needed, we carry out additional fittings until your garment fits perfectly and you are fully satisfied.
Occasionally a garment fits perfectly upon arrival from our workshop, without further need of adjustments.
All alterations carried out in Sydney are fully recorded and your personal pattern is updated accordingly, so to ensure all future orders are accomplished with the same fit as the most recent one.
Finally you collect your one of a kind tailor made garment and start enjoying the pleasure of wearing it.
