Our Made To Measure tailoring process
First consultation and fitting
Massimo visits your home or workplace across Sydney with fabric swatches, trimmings, buttons and suit size samples.
The conversation starts with you: what you like, what you’ve worn before, what has and hasn’t worked, and what you’d like to achieve. Together, you explore the cloth, cut, proportions and finishing details until the design takes shape.
Massimo then takes your measurements and assesses your posture and body shape to establish the fit.
A 50% deposit is collected at the end of your first consultation, before production begins.
Creating your garment
Your measurements and design specifications are sent to our workshop in Germany, where your garment is cut and made to your individual requirements.
Standard production takes four to five weeks. Express production is available in two weeks with a surcharge.
Second fitting
Once your garment is ready, Massimo returns to your home or workplace for the second fitting.
This is where the finished garment is assessed on you, from the overall silhouette and balance to the smaller details that make it feel right.
If alterations are required, these are carried out by our local alterations tailor in Sydney, usually within a couple of days.
Final fitting and completion
If your garment requires alterations, Massimo returns for a final fitting to ensure the fit is exactly right and you are completely happy with it.
If it fits correctly at the second fitting, no further fitting is needed.
Every alteration made after production is recorded on your personal pattern, which is kept at our workshop. Your future garments are then made using your updated pattern.
